This was a great day…2-0 baby!
Now that this victory is over you have to work even harder….work closer….work more as a team then you ever have before.
Keep it up Lobos…we are feeling your pride.

My reference post for the Sundown Roughnecks game against Olton last week with Sundown walking away with the win. The Roughnecks continued their winning streak with a dominating victory over McKamey this week. Sundown is now 2-0 for the season with a huge amount of momentum carrying them forward and the “Great Red Wall” of defense protecting their endzone from any who dare challenge them.

This is another catch up post for me to blog the late season session with the Levelland Varsity Boys Basketball Team for 2012. I think we took these the last week of the season so we tried to have some fun with it.
This was a nice venue for me being 2 minutes from my house in my home town shooting sports…a nice thing to do for sure. I think this is the second or 3rd Sundown basketball game that I’ve ever shot over the years. It seems I’m always set up to go somewhere else 50-150miles away. Nothing like home town sports action!
Here are a few shots for the blog but you can find a small gallery here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p877725651
Well ya know how better late then never works out most of the time. I’m late posting this because my internet has been down for a few days. Either way this was a great game for Shallowater which worked out pretty good for me since a few parents hired me to be there. It was bitter sweet for me in the end with the loss for Levelland but it was still a good game. You will notice a distinct difference in the images from the first half to the second as I was not able to continue strobing the game in the second half….sorry!
Here are a few highlight below for the blog and the gallery is here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p901093681
I’ll give you 3 guesses as to what Collin likes to do and the first two are wrong….lol! Collin is a Senior for 2012 at Levelland ISD and loves baseball and in fact plays it just about year around. I’ve know this kid since he was a little guy no taller than a bat and it’s really cool seeing him all grown up ready to take on the next stage of life.
A few previews from his session.
This is a reference post only for the Lobos vs. Cooper game I was present for. The gallery is small and you can access it here at this link:
This is the reference post for the game coverage of the Shallowater Cooper Football game 10-27-2011. If you were there you know as well as I do that this game was incredible for both teams. The gallery I have for it is posted here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p561738098
I knew it was coming….I just knew it. I had such a huge compelling pull to bring me to the Brownfield stadium to watch this game. I could have been anywhere in Texas under the Friday Night Lights but my decision was made. I was going to watch the streak be broken. This was a great game in many ways and the score was just the topper on the cake. The Defense holding the line and flipping the switch becoming the aggressors on the field was incredible to see. The offensive line opening the holes and never letting the line fall was very pleasing to the eyes. Watching the running backs make it happen pushing and pushing and pushing more each time they had the ball was pure joy to witness. I can’t say enough good about what I saw in this game from the Lobos side of the ball on this epic night. Sure many will say it’s just a win but those that are a part of this team or involved with this team know better than that. This is a game changer this is a life changer this is the start of a new beginning. Congrats Lobos….you rocked it.

Coverage from a few Players Sessions for the Shallowater Mustangs at their game against Lamesa last Friday night. Wow….is my best when describing this game…wow. You guys were so mean to those guys it’s not even funny! Enjoy some highlights here on the blog then see the whole gallery here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p1047000097
First off I had this great idea in my head that when we went to apply worked and worked well but only for a small percentage of the shots. The wind was amazing and blew our set…my lights and pretty much everything all over the place. We probably spent an hour combined time just trying to get things put back in place…or as near as we could and still keep shooting. It seemed that about every 5-10 individuals that ran through the line the shot changed a little bit in some way from everything not getting back exactly as it was before it blew away. The positive in all of this is….we have variety in the images!
I expect to have proofing envelopes in hand with in the next 7-10 days to place orders.
A 95 mile drive to one very poorly lit field from a photographers stand point. Not a big deal because I strobe games anyway…and that was great up to the point that I got hit and my flash bracket was snapped in two. So here is how bad the lights were…photogs will appreciate this…avg. EXIF: iso 5000 f2.8 1/250 with in camera ev value @+5…and the shots are still dark! But hey its all good! Witnessed my first 16 man football game…but nobody told sundown about it so they still only played 12….a few will understand this. Way to go Roughnecks….you rocked that house!! As far as getting hit on the side line…I’m fine…my budget and equipment not so much. Like the Credit Card commercials do it…. gas…$45.00…. Chinese buffet…$10…..nikon sb900 snapped off my monopod by the opposing team….$475.00….getting to see one of the dumbest refs ever and Roughnecks Friday night football…..priceless!
So who did he touch on the sideline?
A few highlights on the blog but the gallery link is here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p56646283
This is a series of images taken after my strobe was broken off so the quality of the images are really low in my opinion.
