Sundown Varsity Boys and Girls vs. Tahoka 1-10-2012
This was a nice venue for me being 2 minutes from my house in my home town shooting sports…a nice thing to do for sure. I think this is the second or 3rd Sundown basketball game that I’ve ever shot over the years. It seems I’m always set up to go somewhere else 50-150miles away. Nothing like home town sports action!
Here are a few shots for the blog but you can find a small gallery here: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/p877725651

Joanna -n- Ramiro 2011
“J-n-R sitting under a tree….k…i…s…s..i…n..g!”
Sometimes when you meet people and you see them together you can just tell that they need to get married. That’s what happens when you meet Joanna and Ramiro. As a matter a fact these two are getting hitched Dec 31st 2011….and I’m gonna be there! These guys are fun and sweet and clearly made for one another without question.
Enjoy a few previews from their session.

Courtney and Heath 2011
This session is another one of those cool one’s for me. Heath a fellow Photog over in Littlefield came to me asking me to do a couples shoot with him and his awesome girlfriend Courtney. To say the least I kinda went a little out there with the images just to do something different and neat for these two. We got started a little late in the day and only had about an hour worth or sunlight so 50% of the session was after the sun had set and that’s where it got fun. Courtney had to pull Heath out of his little shell a few times and she did very well when she did…you can really see the bond these two have in a few of these images. We had a lot of fun doing this shoot and I’m just honored that they asked me to do it for them.
A few previews of their session.

The Ferguson Family 2011
Meet the Fergusons freshly transplanted to our neck of the woods recently from the Houston area. Being with this family it doesn’t take you more than five minutes to figure out who runs the house hold….and it’s not Mom…or Dad. Hey we have that same issue in our house too…lol. Thanks so much guys for letting me be with you to do this it was a blast and I can’t wait until the next session.

Whitharral Lady Panthers Basketball vs. New Way Odessa Christian 12-20-2011
This is a cool post for me as it becomes the first court game coverage for Whitharral Texas I have had to date. A friend and fellow Photog Julie Scott a.k.a. “Crazee Scotts Photography” asked me to cover her daughters basketball game. It’s one thing to take pictures at a game but to take pictures and actually watch your own kid and get into the game not missing any shots is a whole different level of focus. So she gave me a call to do it for her…she’s not so Crazee after all! It was really nice to see a new gym along with a lot of familiar faces that I hadn’t seen in a while.
Congrats goes out to the Lady Panthers on their win!
I rattled off about 450 shots over all in the game but after weeding out the miss-focused view obstructed and most of the shots without a basket ball or eye balls in them I was only left with 168 good images worthy of printing.

Fryars 2011
Without question this is one of the sweetest families I know this time they brought relatives with them too boot. The coolest thing about these guys is watching these two cool little boys grow up more and more each time I take their photos. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. It was a pleasure meeting the rest of the family.
Lexi Turns 3 – 2011
This is another one of my favorite families and without question one of my favorite 3 year olds hands down. She likes my camera…a lot! You can’t help but look at her and end up smiling just as big a she does.

Wizard of OZ – Sundown ISD 2011
This has to be the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Granted one of my sons was in the play even if he was just a Munchkin’ so you know I had to be there to shoot it. I didn’t get to see Saturdays performance for the wedding I had to cover but I know this performance was fantastic as I’m sure it was as well. After 3 months of hard work and preparation the drama department and the kids put forth it made this little interpretation of Oz an absolute joy to be present for. To get descent shots I stood up for the entire performance moving around to try and get the best angles I could find and with about 950 shots taken I have placed a little over 400 in a gallery.
