Levelland Volleyball Walks High Over Littlefield 8-30-2011
Man what level of dominance on the court could have been higher than what was exhibited by the Loboettes last night. These girls looked like they were having fun for the first time I’ve seen in a very long time. Awesome job Loboettes….and hats off to the coach looks like night and day from teams of the past.
I made a run at shooting this a little different than usual….and well I’m pretty happy with the results. This is probably the cleanest volleyball game I’ve ever shot to date image wise. Enjoy!
Gingers Bridal 2011
Isn’t she lovely! As I post this at this very moment she is walking down the isle to say I do. I wish you so much happiness in your life you sweet girl. I can’t express enough how happy our family is for you. Congratulations!

Beadles Family Beach Bum Session – South Padre Photographer
Well to make a long story short….
Amber sends me a email a few months ago about doing family photos for her. We correspond back and fourth on dates trying to figure out when to do it and while doing this she makes certain that a block of time wasn’t available for them because they were headed to the beach then. She also made a fun off the wall suggestion that I could just go with them to the beach and make it a working vacation doing their session while we were there. She clearly never even entertained the notion of the idea as possible in anyway and nor did I to be honest. As time rolled on and we got closer to the date my calendar opened up a little because of the senior season winding down. I then mentioned this idea of a beach vacation to my wife and she didn’t hesitate one second to assert it to me as a great idea! So long story short this blog post is the results of a little 8 day trip to the beach with the Beadles to do their family session. The great thing about this that made it even better for us is we were able to hang out with a great family for several days at a great location and both of our kids made some new friends too boot. This would be a good lesson for that old adage “You never know until you ask”
Now as for the day we picked to do the session….well we could have picked a worse one than we did. When we started to get set up on the beach with in 10 minutes of being there it rained on us….and I mean just us. I don’t think any other part of the beach got rain….just our little patch. All week long the sunsets were awesome with just the right amount of clouds to give that depth and emotion needed to take a perfect family sunset photo. Not on this evening….a huge cloud bank rolled in about an hour before sunset and totally snuffed out all of our warm beach sunshine and any chance for a sunset shot too boot. It was so bad that we actually had to end the session about 30 minutes early because of the lack of light caused by the cloud bank. So we missed a lot of what would have been more great shots. Then we had a little mishap on one of our “family running on the beach splashing through the surf” shots where someone got swallowed up by the surf and fell to completely soak themselves….normally not a big deal but with the hurt feelings and the solid soaked white clothing it kinda put a little damper on things…we still made it all work out in the end. What a great vacation! Thanks guys for suggesting first off and secondly for hanging out with us…total blast in every way. I still want to sell everything and go buy a dolphin boat now!
Sarah Sanford and Mason Elam Wedding Day June 17, 2011 – Lubbock Spirit Ranch Wedding Venue
Well I’m a little late posting this because of a vacation I took the day after the ceremony. Thankfully these great people understood and fore gave me for making them wait for their wedding photographs. What a wonderful thing to be a part of to say the least as these two folks are those that I’ve been impressed with since our first introductions. This was such a blessed and beautiful day and it was all meant to belong to Sarah and Mason. The venue was fantastic the decor even better and then you top it off with a gorgeous bride and a stunning groom to make it the perfect ceremony and event. God Bless you two and best wishes on your long and glorious future together.
Reflections of the past – Senior Sundown Cheerleaders for 2011
Just felt a sudden need to repost a few of my favorite girls Chaley Priest and Sarah Sanford from my Sundown Senior Session for 2011. These were images taken somewhere in April of 2011 amongst the rush of the season and for some reason just recently my memory was jogged and made me think about them all over again. So I figured I’d repost them and share with you folks out there once again.
Mason and Sarah 2011 E-session – She said “Yes”
Ok well I saw one of my good friends do this a few weeks ago so when presented with the opportunity to shoot the question so-to-speak I jumped on it. She said “Yes”! This was really the most fun I’ve had in a long time and the fact that she had no idea made it even more fun. You’ll be seeing more of these two in the near future here on the blog when the wedding bells are ringing.

Billie had a birthday (90th)
I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to a wonderful young ladies birthday today. When I asked Billie how old she was…she looked away with a smile then in a giggle look right back at me as said “29″. Thank you guys for having me around to record this for you…it was an honor.
