Sundown Pump Jack Wooden Bat Classic 2013

A little action from a night game the other night in Sundown Texas.  It’s a great event with a great history of great teams that have participated so far in it’s short existence of 3 years.  My favorite thing about it is the wooden bat requirement….which is really cool if one breaks in front of your camera.  Night games are always difficult with Baseball as you are forced as a photographer to use only available light and getting that good stop action crispy is a little hard in the dark.  I have posted a small gallery from the game which can be found at this link: http://sconwayphotos.zenfolio.com/f603687468

McKenzie 2012

McKenzie has to be a favorite session of mine hands down for the year….we walked a 1/4 mile with gear in hand for some of these shots.  The work was so worth it!  She’s awesome to work with and….well really easy to take great shots of.  You rock McKenzie!

This is a reference post for the girl with the most bubbly/giggly personality ever!  Meet Stacy a Senior from Levelland for 2012.  I made a little personal challenge with myself on this session shooting it entirely at f8.

Kimberly – Senior 2012 Morton ISD

Here is our preview post for the lovely Kimberly a Senor out at Morton ISD this year.  It was an absolute pleasure working with her and her mom who didn’t know when she showed up that she was going to have to work and became my voice activated light stand throughout the session.  Gotta love that wind!  Thank you guys so much for working with me when there are so many choices out there when picking a photographer for this special occasion.

Senior Sisters Alexis and Angelica 2012

This was a cool session where both sister are seniors this year with Alexis graduating from Highschool and Angelica finishing up with College this year.  We actually had to do this on two separate days because of the wind blowing us out…imagine that!  It all workout for the best though because without that wind blowing out our first session we wouldn’t have taken  the cool shots we did on the second attempt.  It was a pleasure working with these young ladies in creating these special and unique images just for them in their senior year.

Morgan Riley – Senior 2012 Levelland ISD

This session was kinda special to me.  I’ve been taking pictures of Morgan since she was a Sophomore and now to see her in her last year of Highschool….well it’s an eye opener and a little sad.  Never the less this is a great time in her life and just a simple step to the next great things life has in store for her.  I took a little extra time on this session because I fell into some new technics and software that basically made me want to completely start over on my editing….and that’s what I did.  I love black and white….but I don’t usually dominate my favorites on the blog with them but that’s how this one ended up.  So enjoy these previews from Morgans session and a few of her sister along with her….they were nutz!  This was a fun session with out a doubt and don’t let the images fool you…Morgan is a nut and isn’t all as serious as she looks.

Rachel Sepada – Quincey 2012

I really have gotten to where I love doing these.  They really feel like I’m practicing for weddings and some times they even surpass a weddings themselves.  Rachel’s Quincey was fantastic in every way you could imagine be it with her family all around her, the fantastic decor they came up with and not to leave out the incredible dress.  It was a privilege to be a a part of it and an honor to record it.

Reagan – Senior Sundown ISD 2012

When we picked out a day to do our first shoot with Reagan 3 weeks prior we had no idea what we were going to get.  Reagan told her mom one day that it would be so cool to do a shoot in the snow.     Well she got what she wished for!  In 24 degree weather with snow flakes as big as a golfball and a little wind to top it off we did our snow session.  It was hilarious!  The time line was something like this….drive…drive…drive…park….soak up the heater….run outside click…click….run back inside….rinse and repeat!  I was so bad I actually had ice on my camera and lens hood.  In the end we had a ton of fun being crazy like this and would do it again in a heart beat!  Reagan has to be one of the sweetest girls I’ve met from Sundown and has a lot to look forward to in her near future.  I just won’t hold it against her seeing as she’s headed to Aggieland after graduation.  ”We forgive you now Reagan”

Spencer Chance Senior Sundown ISD 2012

Spencer.  Do you know Spencer?  If you don’t…you should.  He’s the guy that if you need a hand…he’ll give you one without asking for a thank you.  He’s the guy that will try to encourage you when your down or at least let you know he’s there to listen.  Are you a friend to Spencer?  You should want to be and if you get the privilege one day to be…consider yourself  lucky.  He’s that kinda guy that is hard to find today especially at this age.  He’s real…he’s true and he know’s what’s up.

Hat’s off to you Spencer.  I can’t wait to see what you can do.
