Well I just can’t help but look to the sunsets now days and wonder what’s in store. Being on the road a little helps to satisfy that wonder and here are a few cool sun shots from the road over the last week.

Man I just love little kids and one more over then that I love little kids playing sports! My oldest Cade is in the Mini Dribblers in Sundown this year and here was a fun practice today.

20 degrees…snow and ice everywhere. I’m layered up in 2 shirts a pullover and my jacket along with PJ pants under my jeans my wool socks hat and gloves just to give me an edge. I do this encouraged by my buddy Don Carpenter seeing as the moon was it’s brightest this morning that it ever will be for a long time to come. I went out with no idea of what I’d find but I did have in mind I wasn’t going to look for shots with the moon in them…not directly anyway. I concluded my trip around 3am to head home and see what I got…enjoy folks.

New Card for a New Year

Well in my success with photography I have apparently stereo typed myself unintentionally as a strictly sports shooter. I can be just a sports shooter but seeing as my family depends upon my business to pay the bills I need to do more of everything. I have a ton of field equipment including portable studio lights, batteries for being in the middle of no where, bouncers diffusers stands remotes you name it…all of which I can not use while shooting sports. I’m hoping the new style of cards I will be producing for this year will open up those doors for more Personal Portraits…Senior Portraits…Family Sessions…Children and more.

Everything about this family just seemed to fit a classic western warm black and white so that is where I ended up with my favorite look for the Husle’s being at.

Christmas in the Park – Sundown Tx 2009

Cuz Santa’s coming to town!
Sundowns Christmas in the park was a smash hit with half the town in attendance to hear the wonderful carols from the elementary kids…my son included and of course catch a glimpse of the big guy. I love times like this and the events that come along with them and I love even more to just sit back and take a look at what’s around me…this is what I saw.

6 Man Football Qtr Final Playoffs Borden County vs. Sands at Lubbock 11-28-09

Amazing talent and determination with a relentless drive to win was easily seen on both teams clearly. Borden however is just a well oiled machine geared to dominate…and they did. Sands never gave up you could see that in their eyes but their will just couldn’t overcome Bordens drive.

Moonrise 9-9-09

Simple enough…I’m coming back from Midland after a Bridal Shoot and as it nears midnight I pass through Lamesa. I’m driving a long and just glanced over my shoulder to see something that just looked bizarre. The moon was rising but it almost looked like a sunrise. I had to take some shots.
Just something I thought was kinda cool!
