Well I just can’t help but look to the sunsets now days and wonder what’s in store. Being on the road a little helps to satisfy that wonder and here are a few cool sun shots from the road over the last week.

Well I couldn’t pass up the chance to shoot either of these team in the Dome in Levelland so I postponed my XBOX night with the guys a little bit to go. Glad I could get some good shots of Idalou this season for BBall as they had a slew of shots from the football season. Awesome to see both of these teams running in the Playoffs. Hats’ off to both of ya!!!

Ok…well the first day we did our session with Garrett we didn’t get to hit the field for our baseball stuff for the event that was going on. Garrett didn’t feel like modeling for all the player on the field that day so we went back the next day. Here is Garrett and his passion.

You guys freakin’ rocked! I don’t remember seeing you guys play as hard and as well as a team as you did this night. I couldn’t help but try and make this the last home game for you guys the best photographically I possibly could do. You guys took it to another level tonight as did I…enjoy these shots as you seniors will remember them for the rest of your lives.

20 degrees…snow and ice everywhere. I’m layered up in 2 shirts a pullover and my jacket along with PJ pants under my jeans my wool socks hat and gloves just to give me an edge. I do this encouraged by my buddy Don Carpenter seeing as the moon was it’s brightest this morning that it ever will be for a long time to come. I went out with no idea of what I’d find but I did have in mind I wasn’t going to look for shots with the moon in them…not directly anyway. I concluded my trip around 3am to head home and see what I got…enjoy folks.

We have some action from the JVB-Varsity Girls and Boys for Levelland vs. Cooper. What an incredible night of action…and that’s an understatement. All 3 games are posted in the 2010 Sports Gallery under basketball.

I feel bad about this game as I arrived very late and only got the last 4 minutes of the 4th period…sorry girls. I still managed about 50 decent shots including some of the lower classman getting to play in the action.

Everything about this family just seemed to fit a classic western warm black and white so that is where I ended up with my favorite look for the Husle’s being at.

We brave the cold we brave the wind we brave the running noses and why???
Cuz Santa’s coming to town!
Sundowns Christmas in the park was a smash hit with half the town in attendance to hear the wonderful carols from the elementary kids…my son included and of course catch a glimpse of the big guy. I love times like this and the events that come along with them and I love even more to just sit back and take a look at what’s around me…this is what I saw.

Levelland Basketball Invitational 2009 Day 01

From what I have been able to watch so far the action has been nonstop. A huge upset for Horizon over Godly. Just amazing to see this one unfold….Horizon is 5 down with 45 seconds in the game and with nothing more than pure determination they pull it off with with two buckets the last 2 pointer at the 1.4 second mark in the game on clock and get a foul on the play to put #14 in the hot seat with 1 free throw. She nailed it…game over.
Levelland dominated Bel Air with a 20 point gap…no one on the Loboettes looked like they broke a sweat.
In the gallery system under basketball I have Godly vs. Horizon and Levelland vs. Bel Air just look for the Levelland Invitational.

Simple enough…I’m coming back from Midland after a Bridal Shoot and as it nears midnight I pass through Lamesa. I’m driving a long and just glanced over my shoulder to see something that just looked bizarre. The moon was rising but it almost looked like a sunrise. I had to take some shots.
Just something I thought was kinda cool!
