So Don and I go out today scouting out some new locations for some stuff coming up to help celebrate his 20th annivesary with his wife….(whom I might add was a royal pain in my neck today! inside joke!!!) anyhow Don is talking about his wife and all the wonderful things he is to her and the next thing I know he is jumping off the cliff…..

Ok first off…I’m a little taken back to the fact that I was asked to be a apart of this as a contributing artist. Wow! I never looked at myself in that light but others apparently do. I am honored to be able to attend and contribute anything I can and will. I will have several pieces present and for sale as well as additional items available online to be purchased pre and post event to help increase the potential of my donation via sales. So even if you can not be present at the event but you still want to contribute you will be able to make purchases online from me for my works.

Just had to put this little gem up…it’s a “6 panel accordion pano card” that I did for the Logan brothers from Levelland ISD for 2010.
The Power of Photoshop

Man I just had to put this one up again as an example to folks out there that you can’t just take a picture out of the camera and have it be a good shot most of the time. You gotta work it! This was a portrait session I did for my wife and her sister at Christmas 2008 and I love to use it as the example of what Photoshop can do for a image if used in the right way. Between the hair over all tones, skin and eyes I think I had about 15 layers in Photoshop this image maybe more.

I just wanted to put this information out in internet land about some of the Team Profile Photo Shoots I have been doing. For each session I do I will place a gallery online in the sports gallery for 2010 in the specific Team Profile Photo Shoots category.
If you needed more copies and wanted to send far off family links to see your kids this is the place to do it.

Well I did it…
I never thought I would actual do a flash driven site but I did. The BLOG is no longer the main home page for me now. The new site has the splash page with a few links right on it to take you into the new main site…the BLOG…or directly into the sports gallery. This should make things easier for all.
Things that won’t change is the separate gallery site for most sports coverage.
Personal sessions will be in the Client section of the new site accessible only by those with the passwords.
So go checkout the new site for me…it’s mostly done but I do need to still work on it a little.
New Card for a New Year

Well in my success with photography I have apparently stereo typed myself unintentionally as a strictly sports shooter. I can be just a sports shooter but seeing as my family depends upon my business to pay the bills I need to do more of everything. I have a ton of field equipment including portable studio lights, batteries for being in the middle of no where, bouncers diffusers stands remotes you name it…all of which I can not use while shooting sports. I’m hoping the new style of cards I will be producing for this year will open up those doors for more Personal Portraits…Senior Portraits…Family Sessions…Children and more.

Hey folks welcome to the new look and feel for Steve Conway Photography. I’ve been wanting something cool and unique but also something more simple to view. The old site was good for me because I was used to it and the way everything worked as I have been in deep with that type of site format for several years now. I do have to admit…it was confusing to new comers unfortunately and that is the fuel for the invention and creation of the new site.
